Bupleurum Bupleurum

Bupleurum is a cool-season annual filler grown for wiry stems of yellow-green flowers, rounded bracts, and blue-green foliage. It is not flashy on its own, but it is extremely useful in bouquets because it brings light, movement, and a fresh chartreuse bridge between colors that might otherwise fight each other. Grow it from seed in cool conditions, cut only when the flowers are open enough, hydrate immediately, and treat it as a short-window filler crop rather than a long summer workhorse.
